Major Awards

Rosario Marin has had the privilege of receiving countless recognitions, awards, keys of cities, medals etc, among them:   The Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Prize given to her by the Joseph P. Kennedy Foundation at the United Nations in 1995. The Lifetime Achievement Award given to her by the League of California Cities in 2006 . The Outstanding American by Choice initiative highlights the importance of citizenship rights and responsibilities through recognition of the out standing achievements of naturalized U.S. citizens. In November of 2010 Rosario Marin was the recipient of The Mujer Anahuac, At the Universidad Anahuac in Meixco City in 2011. This award is given to outstanding women whose life and work are an example to the world today, this award is presented Anahuac Center for Women’s Studies.  The link is a video of Rosario receiving the award.
